Meet the School Nurse

Nurse Christi Reger, BSN RN

 

Hi! I am Nurse Reger. I am the school nurse for Christiana Middle School. I have been a nurse for over 25 years specializing in Labor and Delivery, Med Surg and ER. I have been a school nurse with Rutherford County Schools since 2014.  I look forward to working with your child and you. I am from the Murfreesboro area. My free time is spent with my family, my mini-Me (Natalie Raelynn), my mini-Aussie (Sydney Mae), my old dogs (Pig) and (Marley).

I graduated with a BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing) from Valdosta State University in 1998.

Sports: College football (Go VOLS!!! VFL!!!!) 

Music: Country, Classic rock

Snack: popcorn, pretzels, cotton candy, anything caramel

Season: Summer and Fall (for football) 

Vacation: Beach

Store: Old Time Pottery, Hobby Lobby

Scent: Cotton candy, Pina Colada, Blueberry, Watermelon, Eucalyptus Spearmint 

 

School Nurse Day 2024SCHOOL NURSE DAY 2024       Wednesday, May 8, 2024 

Since 1972, National School Nurse Day has been set aside to recognize school nurses. National School Nurse Day was established to foster a better understanding of the role of school nurses in the educational setting. School Nurse Day is celebrated on the Wednesday within National Nurses Week. National Nurses Week is May 6-12 each year.

New to Rutherford County Schools
(Transferring from Out of State / Country, Homeschool, Private School) 
See the following information for Physical Exam and Immunizations
(additional information available under the immunization tab)
 
If you have a student coming from out of the country, homeschool or private school, 1) you must provide a current up to date immunization record on the Tennessee Department of Health Certificate of Immunization form PRIOR to registration. You can get immunization changed to the Tennessee form by using the Rutherford County Health Dept website. It can be submitted online, and they will update it for you (see below). 2) You must turn in a proof of a health physical exam for your child within 30 days of registration.  After this, your child must be excluded from school per Rutherford County policy. If your child has had one within the last calendar year you can submit it. You can bring it to the clinic, email to [email protected], fax it:  ATTENTION SCHOOL NURSE 615-904-3886 include child's name and DOB.
 

Rutherford County Health Department Immunization Records

Rutherford County Health Department has made it easier to get transferred and updated immunization records. When submitting a request, please ensure that ALL REQUIRED fields have been completed. A clear copy of immunization and physical records will ensure a timely response. The response time could be up to 1-3 days.
